THE CHERRYBOMBS
The Cherrybombs is an all-girlband from Rotterdam suburbs (NL) formed in 2003. After a few changes in line-up the Cherrybombs is nowadays formed by three girls; Merrie, Cin and Joie. Their style is what they like to call it ‘chickrock with a bite’. That’s because they don’t fit into one single type of music. They are influenced by the Ramones, Distillers and more. They mix these influences with their own point of view to create their sound. The lyrics are about boys, heartbreak, love and anger. All the things in life which cross your path while growing up, these things make the songs poppy and sweet or wild and feeded by anger!

“Deze band uit Chile gaf afgelopen donderdag 26-08 een daverend konsert in het Poortgebouw. Na een tournee van vier maanden keren zij terug naar Zuid Amerika (waar detour zich overgens voortzet in Brazilie). Op eigen verzoek spelen zij nogmaals bij ons. Wij zijn blij!”

AKINETON RETARD
One of the principal exponents of the experimental music in Chile is on Eurotour 2004 since May. With ten years of work, the group has released three CDs: Akineton Retard, Akranania and 21 Canapes, and is preparing the fourth one for October. The originality, freedom and irony are the principal characteristics of their artistical proposal with a music which goes between jazz, hard rock & contemporary languages. We can say, without a doubt, that it's an absolutely urban band. The group is formed by five musicians (guitar, drums, bass and two saxes), sound engineer, visual artist, tour manager and a producer. Akineton Retard also received the International Darwin Award at Treviso - Italy, assigned by the specialized Italian press. This was the first time that a Latin-American band obtain this honor (the prize giving concert would be available in DVD produced by Lizard Records).

WISEGUY
Wiseguy bestaat al sinds 1995, en komt pas in 2003 met de eerste full-length CD/LP Burning The Tracks. Het heeft inderdaad even geduurd, dit mede door wisselingen van bezetting en muzikale koers, maar sinds 2000 is Wiseguy simpelweg 1 van de hardst rockende live bands van Nederlands. Dit lieten ze ondermeer zien tijdens optredens met Peter Pan Speedrock, American Heartbreak (USA), The Dickies (USA), Hellride (Zweden), Duane Peters & The Hunns (USA), Turbo AC¶s (USA) en The Apers in zalen als Nighttown, Waterfront, Vera, 013 en LVC.

THIRD EYE
The 3RD EYE vision began with three brother from Surinam, South-America : Roy, Kenneth and Ryan Tel. Since the early 80’s they played music together and at a certain point they formed one of the first “black” metal bands around. This was waaaaaay before Body Count! The 3RD EYE vision is multi dimensional but from a metal point of view, combined with drum & bass, deathmetal, funk, hardcore, rap, fusion, reggae etc. 3RD EYE often jams and metalizes existing songs from singers/bands you wouldn’t imagine. 3RD EYE is seen on stages throughout the country and on festivals such as Wantijpop, Tuinfeest and Aardschok’s Metalbash. They played support slots for 24-7 Spyz, Machine Head, Comin Correct and a bunch of other so called rockstar bitches.

ALL FOR NOTHING
All For Nothing, a band that doesn’t fit into just one category. They’re influenced by both hardcore and punkrock. Their debut albumÊ Ê“Start At Zero” has just been released. It contains eight up-tempo punkrock songs which are alternated by finger breaking hardcore riffs and drenched in melody and sarcasm. This energetic album is available now and will make every stereo explode! All For Nothing is ready to hit the road and play as many shows as possible!

ILSE LAU
Ilse Lau from Bremen are one of the German underground’s best kept secrets. A (mainly instrumental) drums/bass/guitar trio, loud, bitchy, partly complex in structure, dissonant and cryptic. They themselves call it yes-no-perhaps rock. Indeed they sound like a kind of puzzle, but hey, isn’t there already too much boring rock music around? Henning Bosse (drums, guitar), Ansgar Wilken (guitar, melodica, percussion), Thomas Fokke (bass guitar).

BRUNO & ROBIN
consists of a drummer and a bassplayer. Bruno and Robin don’t need other instruments since the bassplayer uses effects and loops on his bass and voice in a way you won’t miss the guitar or any other instrument at all. Bruno and Robin are well known musicians in the alternative scene in Rotterdam from bands the likes of MAJA FIETS CLUB and STOMA.

MONKEY BOY
A minimalist trio from London, have generated a massive buzz on the underground scene since they were formed in ’95 by the Warren brothers, Paul (Drums & Vocals), and Mark (Bass). Their music has been described as an eclectic mixture of heavy bass-driven punk, blues, and something else entirely. Joined on 2nd bass by Rhiannon during the early months of the band’s life, Disco Stu became a permanent fixture when Rhiannon moved to pastures new in 1996.
