HARRY MERRY
Harry Merry is at the same time the guardian and the destabilizing force of his culture: Dutch folklore, which is a source of pride for him. Combining barrel organ sounds and left sided song lyrics, he expresses his viewpoints about flowers, windmills, everyday life, dating problems and even bus travels. Harry Merry is cynical and masters self-derision. His inspiration comes from an incredible radio archive, Dutch glam rock and Beatles’ 7 inches. Harry Merry proclaims himself as “the actual future of yesterday’s sound”.

De R:IP selecteert een aantal ervaren improvisatoren en goede (jonge) muzikanten met minder improvisatie-ervaring, zet ze voor een ge•nformeerd publiek op een podium in uiteenlopende bezettingen, en laat ze muziek maken. Een vergelijkbaar concept werd al met succes toegepast in de series V:IP en Gouden Hamers Op deze manier kunnen ervaren (R:IP) improvisatoren getalenteerde nieuwkomers met vrije improvisatie laten kennismaken. Jonge muzikanten kunnen nieuwe invalshoeken die de vrije improvisatie biedt aftasten. Er zal kruisbestuiving plaatsvinden met als resultaat een muzikale verrijking voor zowel onervaren als ervaren improvisatoren De keuzes voor de bezettingen moeten leiden tot een avond die interessant is voor publiek en die muzikanten uitdaagt tot het verleggen van hun muzikale grenzen.

LAP OF TIME
The music is comprehensive as we talk about genres.The fundamental influences are based on metal/heavyrock. The way the music is played is progressive with theatrical melodies. Each piece is built on strong rhythmic and dynamic patterns. The style of music of Lap of Time can be described as dark and mystic, which is played alternating with open and accessible parts. Lap of Time is unique in its presentation with two male lead singers. The songs are based on a role game wich tells you the concept of Tale of Duality.
