UPSILON ACRUX (US / Cuneiform Records)
(myspace)
Upsilon Acrux is an LA based instrumental quintet (dual guitars, keyboards,
bass and drums). Their music is not easy to describe but attempts to do so
regard it as technically brilliant, rhythmically unbelievable, with just
the right amount of melody.
SLEEPS IN OYSTERS (UK / Seed Records)(myspace)
Fluffy folktronic springtime music for those who like Mum, Tunng and Morr
Music.
"Vivid electro-acoustic pop, beautifully recorded...the most joyous of
post-Aphex/Bjork musical nuances that gently fizz and crackle" - Warp
Self-taught sound artist and collector of sounds. Infinite sources of
rhythms and colours, shaped with real time sound treatment software.
~~WORM~~ surprise act
!
We love WORM. And they
love
us. Next to UPSILON ACRUX they are lending us
an amazing surprise act. Expect an elusive, exotic and highly original
treat from a far away land. To be revealed...

SQUARTET
& Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva
21:00h
- door open
Born from punk, corrupted by funk, de-evolved into noise, with a taste for jazz, Squartet's music derives from a wide array of influences (from Wes Montgomery to Charles Mingus, Snakefinger, Fred Frith and Meshuggah, just to name but a few) but then developing a strong, recognizable and destructured own style that leaves the audience claiming for more. A band that you should definitely check out if you want to tune in to the jazzcore move that is rocking around Europe.
Will be performing solo...
