De magie van het moment.
De magie van een muzikaal moment. Meer of minder gestructureerd. Uitersten en gulden middenwegen tussen klank en geluid. Onvoorspelbaar op dat ene kenmerk na: het komt nooit meer terug zoals het is geweest.
Ga het zelf horen. Beter nog: doe er zelf aan mee. Unieke muzikale momenten maak je immers zelf. Pro en amateur samen en aan elkaar gelijk. En dat is ook uniek. Om over na te denken tot de volgende keer, vrij naar Albert Einstein: Improvisation is merely the refinement of everyday thinking!

After 18 editions of ConcertReex, in which the R-IP invited a number of experienced free improv musicians (R-IP-members), and a number of musicians with less experience in improvising to play together, the R-IP are changing the formula.

Now, we still need both experienced and inexperienced improvisers to make the session a success, but everyone is invited to come and play!

The only form of organization is that musicians tell the session leader in advance if they would like to play. The session leader will put ad-hoc ensembles together and call them on stage. Of course, a limited number of musicians can participate.

The audience will follow every move and sound, as the ad-hoc ensembles explore each other’s sonic vocabulary. Both experienced- and inexperienced improvisers can learn and grow from this encounter.

The R-IP programmers try to make the most challenging and unorthodox combinations of musicians, aiming to have all of them broaden their horizons.
