ANDY DIXON a.k.a. SECRET MOMMY a.k.a. CAVING

(CA/ Ache records)

My character, like the true character of any person, is most completely revealed in my unguarded moments. A spontaneous gesture can show more about a person than a rehearsed speech. So too is an artist's vision seen most clearly in an unpolished detail or a mistake. My art highlights these mistakes, drawing the viewer's attention to the  authentic and unique aspects of my expression, to the pure rough stroke  that is often lost when the edges are polished.

Growing up involved in punk rock, I was moved by the energy and urgency  in the music and drawn to the idea that the impulse of expression was  valued above skill and competency. I naturally carried this forward into  my art and my current musical projects. Now focusing on a style of experimental electronic music often called Glitch, I create music almost entirely from errors to cheekily amplify and give higher value to what is normally discarded.

COPACOD (NL/ Antilounge)

Like a psychedelic chameleon in the electronic music-scene, copacod never tires of re-inventing himself. In his younger days he first started torturing his Atari ST to create weird sounds, then ventured into the noise-scene for some time, discovered how to use trackers with the help of FFF and released his first tracks under the moniker Murderville Soundmachine. Musically he never really believed in rigid styles and always tries to blend his passion for diverse music and something he calls 'happy accidents'.

These are playful sonic creations with a twist.

LOGOSAMPHIA (NL/ Enfant terrible records, Ego twister records)

Logosamphia, is a persian/dutch artist who creates experimental dance music. He is one of the founders of the neo-polka genre and combines acoustic elements with electronics and noise. His work is influenced by different styles as breakcore, minimal electro-acoustics, folkmusic [balkan & arabian], 8bit, tekno and ragtime. As an addition to his sounds he is also a circuitbender and uses lots of modified DIY instruments.
